Over the weekend Nigerian singer Yemi Alade took over Instagram with her #TakingOverMe design competition as part of the campaign for her latest single “Taking Over Me” which features Phyno.
The social media hosted contest which ended on the 4th of February 2015 received over 100 design entries from graphic designers and fans across the globe and a winner emerged. The winner was announced by the “King Of Queens” diva and was summoned to collect his cash prize of $1,000. The winner’s Instagram’s account is @scaezar and his entry which was a pencil sketch design gained over 4,452 likes as at the time of review.
Yemi Alade posted a photo on Instagram of herself, her manager Taiye Aliyu and the winner Segun Caesar collecting his money with the caption;
‘Our darling @scaezar is $1000 richer… shout out to EFFYZZIE for making this possible! !!!!

Yemi Alade’s positively received music video for “Taking Over Me” was released via her VeVo page on the 3rd of February and has gained over 30,000 views.
