Xenophobic violence in South Africa leaves at least five dead
Most of the recent unrest occurred in and around the coastal city of
Durban, where police said two foreigners and three South Africans were
killed. The dead included a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly shot
during looting on Monday night and died at a hospital, police colonel
Jay Naicker said. Some 34 people have been arrested for possession of
unlicensed firearms and other crimes in the last two days, he said.
“Police are deployed and in high alert in most of the areas where there are foreign nationals,” Naicker said in a statement emailed to the Associated Press.
Despite the increased police presence, authorities are hard-pressed to stop unrest that recalls similar violence in South Africa in 2008 in which about 60 people died. In January this year, four people died during a week of looting of foreign-owned shops and other violence in Soweto and other areas of Johannesburg.
Some South Africans have accused immigrants of taking jobs and opportunities away from them. The latest violence followed reported comments by Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, an influential figure among the Zulu ethnic group, that foreigners should “pack their bags” and leave. The king has since appealed for an end to the unrest.

Couple Arrested For Selling ‘Golden Tickets To Heaven’..Claim Jesus Gave Them
A couple ,Tito and Amanda Watts were arrested over the weekend for selling “golden tickets to heaven” to hundreds of people. The couple, who sold the tickets on the street for $99.99 per ticket, told buyers the ticketswere made from solid gold and each ticket reserved the buyer a spot in heaven simply present the ticket at the pearly gates and you’re in.
A Jacksonville police spokesman said
“People can sell tickets to heaven,”But the Watts misrepresented their product. The tickets were just wood spray painted gold with ‘Ticket To Heaven – Admit One’ written in marker. You can’t sell something as gold when it’s not. That’s where the Watts crossed the line into doing somethingillegal.”Tito Watts said in his police statement:

It's the end of an era, everyone: an era in which we could pretend, even if just for a short while, that there was still some hope left for Kylie Jenner's innocence. Sure, one might say that that era has been dead and gone for a very long time, but even so, consider this the sharp, inappropriately-placed nail in the coffin. Because if we're to believe some screenshots taken from Kylie's Snapchat account, it sure does look like she's got her nipples pierced.
Photos: R*pist Politician Battered With Monday Hammer And Raw Acid
A former aide to a top government official
Donny Ray Williams drugged and r*ped a woman back in 2010 and walked
away scot free. He thought nothing of his atrocities and carried on with
life as if nothing happened. Unfortunately for him, His victim is not
the forgiving type and time certainly did not heal the victims wounds.
Two years later, Williams was walking down a
Northwest Washington street when a man walked up and asked, “Hey, how
are you man?” Williams, not recognizing the man, said “hey.”
The man then hit him on the head with a
Monday hammer. he went on to empty a jar of liquid on Williams’s face,
and it ran down his body. Williams said he initially thought it was
coffee. But then he felt pain as if his body were on fire. “I thought I
was going to die,” he said in an interview earlier this year.
I Didn't Threaten Hulk Hogan ... But I Still Hate Him Scott Steiner I Didn't Threaten Hulk Hogan ... But I Still Hate Him
We broke the story ... Steiner is under investigation over a March 26th encounter with Hulk's wife Jennifer -- when she claims Steiner grabbed her at the San Jose airport and told her he was going to kill Hogan. Jennifer and Hulk filed a report with police the next day.
"I'm not going to dignify [Hogan's] lies," Steiner said ... "I didn't put my hands on her."
Steiner says he did approach Jennifer that day -- but only to talk some serious smack about Hulk introducing "Macho Man" Randy Savage at his WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
"I told her Hulk introducing 'Macho Man' into the Hall of Fame is bullsh*t ... He hated him. Everyone knew that."
Steiner says there were cops nearby during the airport incident -- "So if she felt her life was threatened, why didn't she talk to the cops?"
As far as the investigation goes, Steiner says he has NOT yet been contacted by police.
He did have one final thought -- "It's not my fault Hulk Hogan is afraid of me."
Ouch.

Statement by President Jonathan on presidential election 2015
Fellow Nigerians,I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections. I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.
Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.
As I have always affirmed, nobody’s
ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress
of our dear country is more important than anything else.
I congratulate all Nigerians for
successfully going through the process of the March 28th General
Elections with the commendable enthusiasm and commitment that was demonstrated
nationwide.
Atiku Abubakar congratulates Gen. Buhari on his victory
The former Vice President wrote a congratulatory message to Buhari which he shared on Facebook. See it below...
My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy. The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.
At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.
