Statement by President Jonathan on presidential election 2015

Official statement by president Jonathan after the announcement of the results of presidential election
Fellow Nigerians,
I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections. I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.

Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.

As I have always affirmed, nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress of our dear country is more important than anything else.

I congratulate all Nigerians for successfully going through the process of the March 28th General Elections with the commendable enthusiasm and commitment that was demonstrated nationwide.

Atiku Abubakar congratulates Gen. Buhari on his victory

The former Vice President wrote a congratulatory message to Buhari which he shared on Facebook. See it below...
My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy. The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.

At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.

Remember the rumours of Zara Gretti's grave missing? It's not true

This is according to her friend, singer Nikki Laoye. There was a report last week that the late singer's grave had been tampered with and her body may have been exhumed and removed from where it was buried so the cemetery could bury someone else there or something like that...can't remember exactly what they wrote, didn't pay much attention to it. But anyway, people who know where she was buried went visiting and slammed the report of her grave missing. Thankfully, her grave is intact.

Buhari campaign group call for the arrest of Femi Fani-Kayode

Buhari Support Group has called on the law enforcement agents to effect the arrest of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode for saying that PDP had won in 23 states even when INEC had not announced any results. The group at a press conference in Abuja yesterday March 30th said Fani-Kayode through his action breached the electoral law
"We strongly condemn in its entirety, the recent outburst and blatant misinformation of the general public by Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode that the PDP is already leading in 23 states of the federation. This claim is a total breach of the electoral act and is designed to cause the breach of peace. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari had repeatedly emphasised to his supporters to maintain calmness in that face of provocation by the ruling party. This recent utter exhibition of lawlessness enmeshed in the typical character of impunity by PDP is unacceptable. We ask the security agencies to immediately effect the arrest of Mr. Fani-Kayode for breaching relevant sections of the electoral act which forbids any organ outside INEC from officially declaring election results. His arrest for further questioning will be a clear indication that the security agencies are truly unbiased participants in this electoral process as this declaration is also a breach of both the 1st and 2nd Abuja Peace Accord. We call on the international community and observers to note the steps being taken by PDP to cause severe breach of peace and call them to order. We also ask our supporters to maintain the peace as we await the official announcement from INEC of the authentic result for the March 28th elections.” Media and Publicity Director of the group, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe said

Germanwings crash..12 reason while it crashed and what really cause it

Germanwings crash
A startling report in the New York Times has claimed the co-pilot was 'locked out' of the cockpit on Germanwings Flight 4U9525.
Germanwings said it could "neither confirm nor deny the reports".
That has prompted a wave of fresh speculation over what happened to the plane - with many claiming the remaining pilot must have deliberately shut himself inside.
The Barcelona to Dusseldorf flight plummeted 31,000ft in eight minutes on Tuesday before crashing into a ravine in the French Alps.
The Airbus A320's cockpit voice recorder, one of two so-called black boxes, is being analysed by French investigators and few clear answers are expected until they finish.
Until then, here we look at 12 of the most talked-about theories of what could have happened to the jet.
It's not meant to be an authoritative list - but it shows how the lack of information has fuelled people's fears over the jet's final moments.
